Dramatic rendition of a real event - the terrorist attack on the Dubrovka Theatre in Moscow.
The terrorist attack on the Dubrovka theatre in Moscow through the lenses of three women - a Chechen terrorist, a Latvian ambulance doctor, and a Russian woman who had saved her money to see a famous Russian musical show. On Wednesday 23 October 2002 at 21:05, 42 armed Chechens attacked the Dubrovka theatre in Moscow, requesting Russian military withdrawal from Chechnya. The musical show Nord-Ost was broken off and 850 people in the audience were held captive. The attack and following emergency actions claimed 170 human lives, becoming the most destructive terrorist attack in Russia. The theme was subsequently dramatized by the German playwright and actor Torsten Buchsteiner (*1964).
